Green Tea Weight Loss Benefits
September 15, 2008
Green tea can be used for weight loss. Originating from China, it contains many beneficial characteristics, and as the only tea of three which originate in China that retains these characteristics, it’s very useful. It’s powerful and natural capabilities do not work solo, however. It still requires the compliance of the user and his or her diet and exercise.
The drink helps to remove waste and toxins from the body. Without green tea, fat builds up because calories aren’t being burned off. By drinking green tea, the rate of metabolizing food and drink is increased, the calories are being burned faster, and fat doesn’t develop as easily. By combining this with exercise (which burns calories) and a proper diet, losing weight could be phenomenally easier and much more efficient.
Although the green tea will help an extra 60 calories (very nominal), it’s a considerably healthy alternative to other drinks that have caffeine. Green tea itself has one-third the amount of caffeine in coffee. If one resorts to four to five cups of green tea a day rather than a daily order of a Starbuck’s product, he or she could be cutting down 110 calories a day, and that’s with the simple brewed coffee. Replacing ‘normal’ drinks with green tea cuts down the calorie intake, which in turn cuts down the speed in which fat will accumulate and turn into fatty tissue.
Products that include green tea in its marketing have been storming the charts because of green tea’s qualities. These products exploit the very healthy effects of green tea to market and profit from ideas. This just goes to show how beneficial green tea can be. The extract can be taken as a liquid, pill, or brewed into the tea itself for a slightly tastier solution. The world can benefit a lot from this wonderful discovery of a powerful plant and drink.
